1) Engine Log Book Pro Bug Fix  Our Engine Log Book Pro allows for many engine layouts, number of cylinders, OHC or pushrods, etc.  Because of the complexity, we can not test every possible combination.  This is especially true when calculating clearances when you have entered individual readings for say Lifter OD and Lifter Bore ID.  Recently users have found a couple of combinations we missed during development and we've updated the software.

If you already own the Pro version 1.1 D, this is a free update.  Simply install the v1.1 D Pro version over the top of what you have.  To save some preference settings, when asked we recommend you select to do a Refresh installation instead of a Complete (typical) installation.

If you are not familiar with our Engine Log Book Pro, here on overview from when we released v1.1 D in June of 2025:  We've incorporated many new features into our very popular Engine Log Book Pro.  We've just released the new version is 1.1 D, and here's a list of the main new features:

• You can export reports in either a text file to Notepad (as done in v1.1C) or export them as a .csv file for Microsoft Excel.
• You can make printouts of the data as laid out on the computer screen (as done in v1.1C) or data in columns.
• Added ability to print Clearance Reports in MS Excel or Notepad as one of the menu choices. 
• Added many features to let the Log Book "talk" to other Performance Trends' programs like Port Flow Analyzer, Cam Analyzer, Valve Spring Tester, and Dyno DataMite.
• Added many features for storing much more Piston Skirt data and making graphs of piston skirt data, and calculating clearances for piston skirt data.
• You now have an option to print only data fields where data has been entered. This should eliminate inputs you do not use or have not entered to eliminate clutter on printouts.

The update cost from the current v1.1C to 1.1D is $150, if you have something older than 1.1C or have one of our standard or Plus versions, send us an email for the cost to update or upgrade.

2) Race Engine Challange  Good friend of Performance Trends, Greg Finnican is sponsoring the Race Engine Challenge again this year for 2026.  There's 2 classes of engines which must meet certain rules, and the best engine wins.  It's been going on for many years.

You don't have to have an engine for the challenge.  You could just bring one you want to dyno.  Or just come hang out and watch.
